Boat History

The oldest known boat is the Pesse Canoe which is dated back to 8200-7600 BC. This canoe was created with the hollowed tree trunks of a tree known as Pinus Sylvestris. Evidence shows that boats could have been in existence up to an additional 900,000 years before that.

What is Vasa?

Vasa is a Swedish Warship that sunk in 1628 and was recovered in 1961 - Only to be found in great shape and still intact after the centuries of being sunk. This boat is the last existing boat from the 17th century and receives almost 30 million tourists.
